Simple-scan non rileva la stampante

Ciao a tutti, ho come OS CentOS 9 , ho installato la stampante e funziona, ho installato Simple-scan ma non la rileva, ??? Cosa potrebbe essere? manca qualche pacchetto? grazie mille

Qui sane_Troubleshooting - Community Help Wiki vedo che i scanner per funzionare si appoggiano a SANE (e presumibilmente questo si applica anche a simple-scan).

Puoi provare a lanciare questi comandi:
lsusb
sane-find-scanner
scanimage -L

E mostrarci cosa ti esce?

Ciao tieni presente che sto usando Redhat 9

Per favore dimmi il risultato di lsusb sia con lo scanner collegato, sia senza, perché da quello che vedo non riesco a capire quale sia il dispositivo associato allo scanner(forse Genesys).

Inoltre prova a lanciare sudo sane-find-scanner (ti verrà chiesta la password) invece di sane-find-scanner.

Ciao, grazie per l’interesse, ma ho mollato il sistema e felicemente sono passato a NixOS, se dovessi cambiare ancora ma non penso, verrò sempre qui da voi perché per interessamento e tempistiche siete molto attivi. Ciao e grazie

Sicuro della scelta? Chiedo perché ho l’impressione che tu sia un neofita e nixos non mi pare una distro adatta ai neofiti.

No invece, su come installare non ho problemi , vi è un package che è piuttosto completo, e non ho avuto problemi con hplip, però poi tutto può succedere, però a differenza questo c’è l’ha invece su altri non si installa, non è compatibile. invece NixOS è indipendente che non è poco ed è completo e funzionante. Lo dico perchè ne ho provati una marea su Distrowatch e li installavo, ma non mi piacciono ,poco reattivi e alcuni ( per me ) un po cmplicati.
